Healthy Banana Bread

I have made banana bread before. It was a lovely, sugary, moist but light banana bread. And you can find that here. But this recipe on the other hand, takes a fraction of the time to put together, tastes just as good, and is actually good for you! Honestly, I was shocked to see how easy this was to put together. This would make for a great afternoon snack when you're craving something sweet and all the nuts and seeds in it will give you that much needed energy boost and a sweet treat to boot!

Healthy Banana Bread

Ingredients:

5 over-ripe bananas
1 cup almonds
1 cup walnuts
1 cup sunflower seeds
1 cup buckwheat flour
1/2 cup honey
3 tbsps chia seeds
2 tbsps cinnamon

Directions: 

1. Preheat your oven to 145˚C. 
2. Blend the almonds, walnuts, and sunflower seeds together.
3. Mix the nut and seed mixture with the buckwheat flour. 
4. Add honey, chia seeds, and cinnamon to your mixture.
5. Mash the bananas and add it to the mixture.
6. Transfer onto a greased baking tin and bake for 1 hour at 145˚C.
